THE UTM FACULTY OF ELECTRONICS AND TELECOMMUNICATIONS INVITES STUDENTS TO THE “GENDER EQUALITY IN STEM” SUMMER SCHOOL

Are you a high school student aged 15 to 19 interested in a career in engineering? Do you want to learn more about gender equality in STEM?

If so, we invite you to participate in the “Gender Equality in STEM” Summer School, organized by the UTM Faculty of Electronics and Telecommunications, in partnership with UN Women.

The “Gender Equality in STEM” Summer School is dedicated to high school students aged 15-19 and aims to:

  • Promote gender equality in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM);
  • Encourage both girls and boys to pursue careers in engineering;
  • Develop management, leadership, and design skills;
  • Familiarize students with emerging technologies;
  • Provide practical opportunities to design and build electronic devices.

Program: June 17-28, 2024

Activities:

  • Lectures and workshops on gender equality in STEM;
  • Management and leadership courses;
  • Design and engineering projects;
  • Visits to top STEM companies (Moldtelecom, Moldcell, GILAT, US-Software Solutions, StarNet, UTM Astronomical Observatory);
  • And much more!

Language of instruction: Romanian.
